Uh-oh. That can't be right. Our latex is pro grade and backed by Premier League keepers.
Let's see if we can fix this.
If this is a new pair
- Have you removed the protective plastic from the palm (only applies to gloves featuring our "Contact" latex)
- Have you activated the latex with a pre wash?
- Has proper glove care been followed, washing after every game?
- Are the gloves dampened slightly before/during use?
If you have not carried out all of the above, try them first before returning here - they may quickly bring your gloves to life.
If you can answer YES to all of these, then please reach out to our support team.
If this is an existing pair where grip has faded
- Has proper glove care been followed, washing after every game?
- Are the gloves dampened slightly before/during use?
- Has dirt or bacteria been allowed to accumulate and seep into the latex over time?
- Have they been dried properly and out of direct UV/sunlight?
- Have they been left over a prolonged period of time (off-season, injury) without proper storage?
If proper glove care and/or storage has not been carried out, this can cause the latex to dry out. Due to dirt/bacteria seeping into the latex palm as well as the gloves not being stored in a cool enclosed environment.
Which means when you return after a long absence, the latex may brittle and struggle to hold moisture. Unfortunately if this is the case, it may be time for a replacement pair of OGs. Gloves are perishable and once activated won't last forever.
What sunlight does to gloves
This relates to point 4 above. Below is a real example of a brand new unused pair of gloves we simply had on display by a window in the office. You can see the tips have dried up and worn away naturally, not even from game time!
